TOWN OF BRASELTON
NEW POLICE HEADQUARTERS & MUNICIPAL COURT BUILDING
FDG completed the new Police Headquarters and Municipal Court Building for the City of Braselton. The new public safety facility houses both the Police Department and Municipal Court for the Town of Braselton, and was completed for occupancy in July 2006. This three-story, 24,000 SF building serves as a design guide for the town’s future downtown development, and remains within Braselton’s established architecture ordinances. In working with the specified requirements, the design team developed a concept that complements the historic architectural integrity of the downtown area, including the Braselton Town Hall located on the adjacent site that was established in 1909.
NEW PLANNING & DEVELOPMENTAND PUBLIC UTILITIES BUILDING
Based on the success of the Police Headquarters and Municipal Court Building, FDG provided architecture and engineering services for the Planning & Development and Public Utilities Building for the Town of Braselton. The new facility houses the Water & Sewer Department as well as the Planning & Development Department for the Town of Braselton. Like the Police Headquarters, this two-story, 12,000 SF building was designed with respect to local architecture, reflecting the Town’s agricultural past.
